‘Tea Gardens’ (zine)

Written and illustrated by Maryam Huq, as an appendix to the ‘Tea Gardens’ print collection released in Summer 2024

Zines were riso-printed in a limited edition run as part of the (Full of) Radical Potential programme in Newham, led by @artizine and funded by @foundationforfuturelondon in 2024. All zines were printed at @rabbitsroadpress,

Both the collection and zine are inspired by the arrival of tea to Bengal in the 19th century. Each piece in the series reflects a mix of my Bangladeshi heritage and my British upbringing.
